True Proof provides a comprehensive solution for accurately calculating the true proof of a water-alcohol mixture at a specified reference temperature. Utilizing data from hydrometer readings along with the corresponding temperature, it achieves precise measurements essential for distillers.

In addition to proof calculations, True Proof offers robust gauging functionalities. It accounts for the complexities of temperature-dependent nonideal mixing of water and alcohol during dilution calculations, ensuring reliable outcomes.

All calculations are systematically logged and can be annotated before being emailed for easy archiving, facilitating record-keeping and compliance.

The software supports multiple units of measurement, catering to both large-scale and hobby distillers across different regions. It accommodates various concentration measurements including proof, ABV, or density; temperature in either °F or °C; and abundance in units such as US gallons, liters, pounds, kilograms, US tons, or metric tonnes.

Users can select the reference temperature based on either US norms (60ºF) or international standards (20ºC), with the flexibility to choose any value within the range of [-20ºC, 40ºC]. Additionally, users can specify the thermal expansivity of the instrument to ensure compatibility with both vibrating tube densitometers and hydrometers.

True Proof employs two distinct computational models: one derived from the US TTB gauging manual and another based on OIML standards relevant to the UK, EU, Canada, and beyond.
